Fabiana Eramo, cook by vocation and passion, and Fabio Lanciano, expert in wine and rum, invite you to their home to taste wonderful products and dishes of the Tuscia region. At La casa di Effe you can experience the honest “circular cuisine” of Tuscia. All ingredients come from our own organic cultivation or directly from the region and are freshly prepared in house.
We follow the seasons, cook according to traditional recipes and add a touch of our own creativity with care and love.
Fabiana Eramo often prepares dishes according to recipes from her book “Tuscia Slow” in which she presents 80 recipes from her and other Tuscia families. From this the idea was born to combine food, culture and art, and to organize gastronomic events in the region.
I grew up in the countryside. My break time sandwiches consisted of homemade bread with our own ham and, in the summer, freshly harvested tomatoes. This taste remained in my memory and inspired me to rediscover local honest and typical products from my homeland.
The smells at Thanksgiving of homemade fresh pasta and ragu cooking since early morning, inspired Fabiana to make her own pasta. Her grandmother Eva’s stories of her own bread oven, offering homemade bread.
