In 2016, Annick travelled from Belgium to Lucca. On her bike, which is still standing in the garage of her house in Italy, where she lives now. To stay fit, she didn’t want to drink alcohol. But – except for water 🙂 she could not find a healthy beverage with good taste.

I started with countless experiments in my kitchen. In cooperation with the University of Viterbo we then developped a new method of creating grape must: With a very low percentage of alcohol, without any syntethic additives, non pasteurized. Nutritions and flavour of the grapes are completely retained.

Annick Bubbly Rose is definitely not the usual spumante o sparkling wine. It contains only 1.2% alcohol and lets you experience all flavours a grape can develop in its earliest stage of fermentation.

The production method uses the ancient idea of fermentation, which actually is the most modern and most energy efficient method to transform raw food. This method is also used for producing prosecco. The only difference being, that the process of fermentation is being interrupted when reaching 1.5% alcohol.

It is simply pure pleasure and healthy at the same time. Looking for alternatives for traditional alcoholic beverages is not a short lived trend. It is moreover an element in the changing life style of many; consciousness for health and enjoyment going hand in hand.

Annick is always aiming for a perfect combination of quality and sustainability. Also shown in the choice of bottles made out of recycled glass with a screw cap, so you can enjoy every drop of the delicious product. Not to forget the containers for the magnum bottle handmade out of sustainably grown wood.

Dreams for the future..oh yes there are. Maintaining old vineyards, extending biodynamic techniques, energy neutral production to mention just a few. And..Annick Bubbly being a symbol for all those who believe in living in harmony with nature.
