Regula Zwicky
Regula is stonemanson and sculptor. Enchanting things are created under her hands. Things that touch your heart. That make you still. In awe of the beauty of the stone and the gifted craftmanship.
“During sculptoring you emerge into the transformation of the stone. The more posture and mind are in balance, the more in harmony are heart, hands and tools.”“
A fabric draped on the sofa in her house. So delicate and fine that you are longing to touch it but then again also not.
Two entangled rings out of stone which are not connected to each other. Free to move.
Large flower cups out of stone on a flexible metal rod or attached to fabric ribbons are moving effortlessly in the wind.
Fascinating large corral shapes, commissioned by Elena Mazzi, have been brought to the bottom of the sea in Liguria in an amazing underwater installation.
When she steps out of her workshop, the shade of a large fig tree turns into her workplace. Is there a more sacred place to work than this? The enchanted garden and the beautifully refurbished farmhouse is home and galery at the same time. Art, everywhere you look. It is absolutely worth visiting there.
Regula also hosts sculptoring workshops. She is a wonderful teacher. Her deep sensitivity when teaching the sculptoring skills seems to also touch the very core of every individual.
She lovingly creates room and trust, freely adapted from Pippi Longstocking: “I have not done this ever before. So I can do it.”
On Regula’s webpage you can find many more details, comments by art experts and foto’s of the different art works.
