Poggio di MontedOro
In the middle of nature, on a hill in front of the town of Montefiascone, lies Poggio di Montedoro. The five farmhouses, lovingly restored in the local style, are surrounded by a natural garden.
My grandfather has always protected this special place like a third son. He was often offered a lot of money, even to install transmission towers here. He would have never allowed that. He preserved the land for people and nature. And so we continue to run this place according to his wishes and role model. With respect and love for the land, nature and people. We are happy to share this with our guests.
In the immediate vicinity lies the church of Santa Maria di Montedoro, whose octagonal shape symbolizes the connection between heaven and earth. And this seems the perfect place for it. If you let your gaze wander, it reaches from Lake Bolsena to the Tyrrhenian Sea. Und after that you see only sky.
The apartments
The five farmhouses host a total of 10 apartments, some with their own kitchen and with private or shared garden area. Everything is desigend in traditional local style with beautiful natural materials.
Glamping in the woods
Brand new at Poggio di Montedoro are two great glamping huts made of wood and glass. So you can be even closer to heaven and earth.
The country kitchen
The rustic beautiful large country kitchen with fireplace, living room and billiard table can also be rented separately for celebrations with friends and family.
The outdoor area
Everyone can certainly find his or her favorite place here. Whether at the panoramic pool, on the veranda with a beautiful view of Montefiascone, on the terrace with view of the lake and the sea, or during a walk in the forest with old oaks and chestnuts.
The spa
Poggio di Montedoro has a wonderful wellness spa area. Rare to be found in the surroundings.. You can enjoy Hammam, Finnish and Turkish sauna, a massage pool and an ice shower. You can treat yourself to a massage or beauty treatment and relax in the beautiful winter garden or, if the weather is nice, in the outdoor area reserved especially for wellness guests.
This special place is also a perfect location for small events for up to 45 people with external catering.
